Compact Traveler No. 1 - lightweight travel tripod
The Travel tripod Compact Traveler No. 1 von Rollei is a tripod made of aluminum with a maximum load capacity of 5 kg, a transport length (pack size) of 34 cm and a working height of 33 - 112 cm. The tripod, which is equipped with a quick-release plate, comes with a swiveling center column, rubber feet and a stable aluminum panorama ball head, its total weight is only 1.2 kg.
The small pack size comes with the Compact Traveler No. 1 by Rollei due to the tripod legs that can be folded by 180, at the same time this travel tripod is very light due to the aluminum construction. The 1.2 kg weight refers to the tripod plus quick release plate. Photographers can assemble and disassemble the tripod in a flash with the quick-release screw connection, handling is facilitated by a non-slip foam grip, which ensures secure attachment to the tripod legs even in cold weather. The center column hook, which can be rotated 360°, allows the attachment of higher weights, the maximum load is specified as 5 kg. Manufacturer Rollei has created the colorful Compact Traveler No. 1 travel tripod specially designed for outdoor and travel photographers. The 5-fold tripod leg adjustment also enables a macro position, the FPH-53P panorama ball head is equipped with three spirit levels and a 1/4 inch tripod head screw. As the manufacturer Rollei, we deliver the Compact Traveler No. 1 tripod with tool and tripod bag.s.

Features of the Compact Traveler No. 1 by Rollei
The maximum working height is 112 cm, on three legs the travel tripod can be adjusted to a minimum of 33 cm. When the legs are turned inside out in the macro tripod position, the effective height is 0 cm. Alternatively, the photographers turn the center column around. Remarkable are the stability of the metal legs and their convenient fixation via rotary clamps, which allows the assembly to be carried out in a flash. Users achieve the greatest stability if they do not extend the lowest part of the legs, which is very thin (1 cm in diameter), but this costs 22 cm in height. The center column itself holds a screw cap, three wide wings make it much easier to unscrew. Overall, the travel tripod Compact Traveler No. 1 from Rollei are completely convincing in terms of its functions.n.

The Tripod Compact Traveler No. 1 by Rollei was published in issue 06/2017 of Fototest excellent.

Our Compact Traveler No. 1 was also part of a 2015 reader test by fotoMAGAZIN and the testers gave the following testimonials:
Claudia Bahlke from the Rhine-Main area says about the Compact Traveler No. 1:
„Finally there is a stylish tripod that is really suitable for sports on the market, the company Rollei has taken on our need and because I have applied to fotoMAGAZIN as a tester, the kit manager and I are allowed to put it through its paces. The Rollei Compact Traveler No.1 is really extraordinarily light and still offers all the possibilities that we had hoped for from a tripod.“
Uli Geißler from Fürth, freelance journalist and photographer, says about the Compact Traveler No. 1:
"A travel tripod is clearly a compromise between weight, pack size, working height, function and adjustment options. The Rollei Compact Traveler No. 1 therefore represents a very good compromise, because the processing quality and the practical handling for the implementation of photographic requirements are excellent and also the Price is reasonable."."
The professional photographer travels a lot and so he had the Compact Traveler No. 1 with him on his journey to Israel. Uli Geißler took the following photo of Jerusalem with the help of the travel tripod.
